TruCheck™ Intelli £1200

The TruCheck™ Intelli Early Multi-Cancer Screening blood test checks your blood sample for Circulating Tumour Cells (CTCs), and clusters of the cells.

This UKAS accredited test is transforming the ability to detect cancer at its earliest stages, and we are delighted to be one of the first providers in the country to offer it to the British public.

This test simply requires a consultation with one of our doctors to explain and counsel you on the benefits and potential risks of having the test. If appropriate, the doctor will then take a sample of blood during the appointment from a vein in your arm.

Results are typically returned within 2-3 weeks. We will then call you in a follow up appointment to discuss your results with you and, if required, plan any further action.

Trucheck™ is the culmination of years of collaborative international research and innovation which has been tested and validated on over 40,000 individuals.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Trucheck™ has 88% sensitivity which means that it can find early signs of cancer at least 88% of the time. So the test will correctly identify at least 88 people out of 100 with early signs. 12 out of 100 will be missed.

Trucheck™ intelli has 99% specificity which means that the test will correctly identify 99 out of 100 people without cancer. 1 in 100 tests may come back positive but cancer is not actually present.

Trucheck™ can detect approximately 70 types of solid tumours which account for around 81% of all cancer cases and around 84% of all cancer related deaths in Europe.

Trucheck™ detects cancers irrespective of the extent of the disease, thus even early-stage cancers are reliably observed.

  • The cost includes an initial consultation with a doctor for counselling, blood taking and a follow-up telephone consultation to discuss the result and advise on appropriate further action.

  • A positive test means that circulating tumour cells have been detected in your blood. During your follow-up with the doctor, we will advise on the next steps which will involve referring you back to your GP or to a private specialist.

  • A negative result indicates that no circulating tumour cells were found in your blood at the time of the test, suggesting that the likelihood of having a detectable cancer is below 1%.

However, this does not completely eliminate the possibility of cancer, as certain cancers may not shed detectable tumour cells into the bloodstream. Additionally, it does not guarantee that you will never develop cancer.
