Obesity Treatment Eligibility:

In order to assess your eligibility for obesity treatment, you must ensure that you fulfil the following criteria:

  • BMI greater than 30, or

  • BMI greater than 27.5 with one or more co-morbidity (prediabetes, high blood pressure or polycystic ovaries)

  • You are 18 years or over

We are unable to offer the medication to patients with a history of:

  • Diabetes

  • Thyroid cancer

  • Congestive heart failure

  • Severe liver disease

  • A history of pancreatitis

  • Gallstone disease

  • Current cancer - undergoing treatment

  • An eating disorder or suspect you may have one? e.g. anorexia or bulimia

  • Being currently pregnant, breast feeding, currently trying to get pregnant or you gave birth within the last 3 months

Trucheck criteria:

  1. You are 40 years or over

  2. You are aged 35-39 with any of the following risk factors:

    1. A family history of cancer and/or known carrier status

    2. Presence of risk associated gene mutations

    3. Obesity

    4. Type 2 diabetes

    5. A history of infectious diseases (hepatitis B, C or HPV)

    6. Documented/significant exposure to specific chemicals and carcinogens

  3. You have never been diagnosed with cancer

  4. You have NO current symptoms which make you think or worry about having cancer. Please check here before booking. If you have answered yes to any of these symptoms, please do not proceed with your Trucheck booking and make an urgent appointment to see your GP.

Cancellation policy

Hexagon Health Limited (HHL) operates a cancellation fee policy

  • More than 72 hours notice: no charge (other than 2% refund administration fee)

  • Less than 72 hours notice or failure to attend:

    • Advanced and Advanced Plus Checks: 100% of full cost will apply

    • Menopause Care Consultations: 100% of full cost will apply

    • Trucheck: 10% fee to cover cancelled consultation and administrative fee.

  • Extenuating circumstances can be considered on receipt of email to admin@hexagon.health and rebooking the appointment may not incur cancellation fees.
